Publisher's Note
Now that Memorial Day weekend is behind us, thoughts turn to summer vacations, baseball, hot dogs and apple pie. I would like to take this opportunity to remind our loyal readers that AccountingWEB remains free to everyone. Sure, we are an advertising-based business model, but we only align ourselves with companies that offer products and services that can help you during your accounting day. We strive to provide you with viable options and resources--not merely throwing a bunch of nonrelevant ads at you.
It is our mission to offer a vibrant accounting community that is a resource throughout your accounting life. As always, we want to hear how we can improve. Let me know please. Oh, and thanks for helping us keep the lights on!

Questions & Advice
Beginner seeking career advice
I have recently been laid off and decided to return to school. I
am a late bloomer at 37 years old, and have no experience in the
field. I have worked for 15 years in Sales and Customer Service.
My father is a CPA and has mentioned possibly going into
business together. I am attending a co-op seminar this summer at
the college, as the degree calls for a certain number of co-op
hours. A classmate suggested I seek a part time co-op job to
supplement my income. This will fulfill my financial needs while
also satisfying my degree requirements.

Printing a Gross Revenue Report from QuickBooks 2008
My client is asking for a month by month gross revenue report.
Can anyone here help me with this? Their sales is split up in to
different categories like marketing, cogs, programming that they
do etc...which comes from sales. Would printing just a P&L or
Balance Sheet do the trick?
