Working with weights: The Dumbbell Shrug |
|
The Dumbbell Shrug provides upper back and neck strength. You will need a pair of hand weights (heavy staplers might work!). Ten to 15 repetitions are recommended.
- Stand up straight and allow your shoulders to relax.
- Hold a pair of dumbbells in your hands.
- Keep your feet flat on the floor.
- Draw your shoulders back and up as high as you can. Be sure that your shoulders don't roll forward when you lift.
- Relax.
