Indianapolis CPAs rock! Today's fitness tips were sent to AccountingWEB by loyal Daily Dose of Fitness reader Mandi Clossey, who works for Somerset CPAs in Indianapolis. Clossey is a CPA by day, but lives a second life as a fitness coach. She has chosen to share some tips that she refers to as "a fun mix of things…not all exactly what to do at your desk but activities for offices to do." We encourage all of our readers to share their tips for staying fit and healthy in the office during busy season!

Swap your chair for a ball |
|
Tip 1: Trade your office chair for a fitness ball. You will improve your balance and you’re your core muscles while sitting at your desk. You can even use the fitness ball for wall squats or other exercises during the day.
Tip 2: Look for opportunities to stand. You’ll burn more calories standing than sitting. Stand while talking on the phone (even during a conference call). Rather than e-mail or phone a co-worker, take time to walk to their desk or office. Take the stairs!!
